The Maya Serpent Reborn is our very first engraved knife handle — a symbolic release that marks the beginning of CAVOL’s journey into the world of engraving as core design expression.
Please note:
This is a modular engraved handle, not a complete knife.
Buyers will need to select compatible parts during checkout — please double-check handle compatibility when ordering.
-----divine symbol, carved into the body of the blade.
Inspired by ancient Mesoamerican mythology, Quetzalcoatl — the Feathered Serpent — stands for wind, wisdom, and rebirth. We drew from the rich visual language of Mayan totems and deities, translating divine motion into fine metalwork.
The clash of copper and black recalls sacred fires from ancient rites;
The interweaving of feathers and serpents awakens mythologies long buried in stone.
This is not just ornament — it’s a spiritual fusion of edge and ethos.
We’ve designed many knives over the years — but this is different.
This is the first time engraving sits at the heart of what we’re creating.
It took time, patience, and an emotional journey to get here.
We explored countless cultural motifs, redrew every line, and reworked every curve — not to decorate the surface, but to let the spirit of the serpent live inside the metal.
We didn’t choose the Feathered Serpent for nostalgia or exoticism.
We chose it because it represents fusion, evolution, and intelligence — the same forces that brought us here, not through hype, but through respect for blades, for craft, and for culture.
This is the piece that took us the longest to let go of.
But now, we’re ready.
This engraved version of Maya Serpent will be offered as part of our customizable modular knife system. Customers may mix and match blades, clips, and other components.
Due to the complexity of the inlay and engraving work, please follow these care instructions for engraved handles:
Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or acidic environments
Prevent strong impacts or abrasions
Regularly use metal care oil and eraser to gently rub to maintain the gloss
Best regards,
